Welcome to the website for the Glasgow Institute of Architects.

The GIA Awards 2009 were presenteted at the 2009 GIA Annual Members Dinner, held on Friday, 13th November at Oran Mor, Glasgow. The photograph to the left shows one of the award winning, or commended, entries. For a full list of winners, go to the '2009 WINNERS' page in the 'GIA AWARDS' menu.

The GIA Supreme Award was presented to Archial for the Small Animal Hosptial, Garscube, Glasgow. A second GIA Supreme Award was presented to Dr. Joyce B. Deans, CBE, for her many years work on behalf of the GIA and the RIAS.

The Glasgow Urban Design Panel (GUDP) website is now hosted by the GIA. Information on the GUDP itself, the agenda for forthcoming meetings, copies of presentations to the GUDP and details of the GUDP findings are available on the site. The GIA currently has a number of vacancies on the GIA Council. Martin McKay, the GIA President, has asked that any members interested in serving on the GIA Council contact him in the first instance.
